Bloom In Any Season

Bloom In Any Season

Ever feel like what you’re doing in life means nothing?
That you are literally trying your best and not seeing results?
It can be pretty earth-shattering, just to keep it real.
It is depressing at times.
You are praying every day, reading your bible, speaking positive to everyone, and keeping peace inside your home. You are believing the best in people, even when they have shown you their worst. You feel like relationships in your life are falling apart.
Or maybe you have dreams of becoming a business owner, a writer, a singer, or to get married, play sports, whatever it may be.
You are exhausted and starting to give up.
You have come to the conclusion that this or that, just ain’t gonna work! You’re done!
At a time in my life I felt like giving up on everything and maybe even just starting completely over again, God gave me this scripture.

4 He who observes the wind [and waits for all conditions to be favorable] will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.
5 As you know not what is the way of the wind, or how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you know not the work of God, Who does all.
6 In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening withhold not your hands, for you know not which shall prosper, whether this or that, or whether both alike will be good.

The timing is never going to be perfect. All I can say is we must keep pressing forward.
Keep doing what you’re doing. Sing, write, practice, speak encouraging words, and still believe the best in people. Think positive and continue to be grateful for what you have now, until you have the life that you want.
All we have is the present time, this is it. You won’t get any seconds or minutes back from this day.
Why not still enjoy it?

10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.”

Zechariah 4:10 (NLT), Biblegateway.com

Also it’s not always about our careers and what we do that determines if we’re successful. When we first meet someone, we ask “What is it that you do?” I feel like the most important question to ask ourselves and others would be “Who are you?”
We have got to see ourselves for who we are, not just what we do. The inner man. The inside of our hearts, what we desire, what our souls long for is much much more important.

This is why we start feeling as if we are failing in life.
Possibly thinking that if I don’t have a bigger house then my neighbor or a higher position at the company I work for, then I am not as valuable as other people. Or I am not as important. This is untrue.
Even you just trying to do what is right and be a better person, God is impressed with your perseverance.
When you push forward taking another step in the right direction, He will do the rest.
BUT, we must take that first step. We must take action. It is not only praying and having faith that will get us to the destination we seek.

26 Just as the body is dead without breath,[a] so also faith is dead without good works.

James 2:26 (NLT), Biblegateway.com

A very hard question to ask ourselves is what have we already done, with what we have been given? One example would be when I lived in a little apartment and I would complain about having to clean it. I would hear God clearly say to me “You ask me for a bigger house, but you grumble and complain about keeping this house clean. Why should I give you a nicer place to live?”
Or when I had very little money in my bank account and thought I just can’t make this budget work, I need more finances. Again, I would hear him say “You need to figure out how far you can make this money go. If you can’t make things work with this amount and be thankful for it, what makes you think you can manage larger funds?”

10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. 11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? 12 And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?

Luke 16:10-12 (NLT), Biblegateway.com

Look, we all make mistakes and we all complain sometimes. We are not perfect. We just can’t stay there for too long. We have to own up to it and start taking steps that will help us grow and be who we are meant to be.
You’re beautifully and fearfully made, set apart, and unique.
Your failures don’t speak louder than your achievements. Not in God’s eyes, He loves you the same, yesterday and forever.

13-16 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.

Psalm 139:13-16 (MSG), Biblegateway.com

Even if you don’t see your efforts accomplishing something, believe the ground is still open to be fed, it’s still futile. Even if it takes a while and it’s not in the season you thought it would be, what you have planted with your words, thoughts, and actions will start to spring out the ground. Keep watering that garden!

Every water sprinkle of a positive word, every tiny dew of a smile, every mist that comes from a lovely thought causes the plant roots to saturate. In due time all is in bloom.
A flower garden of miracles, a bushel of joy, a planter box of peace, a nursery bearing unity. Keep watering, don’t allow obstacles or people to dry you out. Remember, they may try to take all your joy away with their toxic words. Empty those words out of your system and shed your old leaves to bring forth new greenery.
When our garden is tended by the Father, it is planted on a solid foundation that nothing and no one can tear down!
Not even the mistakes we have made will stop God from doing what He set out to do. Keep going, keep trusting, and say thank you for what He is going to do in your life.
