God Still Reigns

God Still Reigns

There is so much going on right now with the COVID-19, the death of George Floyd, and the riots. There is anger that goes way deeper then what we see on the surface.
People have been cooped up inside their houses without any outlet, dealing with the stress of taking care of their families with no money coming in.
It seems things will only get worse.
But God is still on the throne and no matter what is going on, He is still in charge. He has the last word and none of this surprises Him by any means. There is heartache, injustice, hatred, pain, and suffering in this world, but He has overcome the world.
He is still up in Heaven working on our behalf no matter what the circumstance looks like around us.
He still loves His children, cares for us, and true vengeance can only come from Him.

33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

John 16:33 (AMP), Biblegateway.com

19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,
“I will take revenge;
I will pay them back,”[a]
says the Lord.

Romans 12:19 (NLT), Biblegateway.com

One of the very best characteristics of Christ is that He does not show favoritism towards anyone. It is not about our rankings, how much money we make, or what race we are. It is about our hearts and our faith.
If we believe that God created the Heavens and Earth, if we believe that He died for our sins and rose again on the 3rd day, then we belong to Him.

Also, I want to make this very clear, in the scripture below, God is declaring promises for people who are trying to live a life that is right. A life that is full of truth and integrity. A life that obeys God and fully trusts in Him to be the One to repay us.

34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.

Acts 10:34 -35 (NIV), Biblegateway.com

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:9-10 (NIV), Biblegateway.com

I just want to say that, through everything going on in the world right now, let’s continue to pray and praise God. Believing that all this chaos will subside. That we all learn many lessons and grow through it all. That no life is wasted and somehow we can be a country that is not divided.
One day we will all kneel down and exalt God. He is real and He loves us all. He still reigns above all our anxieties, fears, hopelessness, and despair.

10 So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.

Romans 14:10-11 (NLT), Biblehub.com

Don’t forget what He has already brought you through. Don’t forget that His love is not like the love of people. He is someone we can truly count on freely and completely.
He hears our prayers and feels the pain of every tear we cry. He came to Earth so that we would live a life overflowing. An abundant life filled with hope and love.

16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]

My hope is that as you read this poem, your heart will soften and you will begin to understand that God still reigns.

YOU REIGN
-a poem by Cynthia

YOU REIGN
Because of who You are.
YOU REIGN
Because You are the Counselor, the Keeper of tears.
YOU REIGN
Because You shed Your blood to cover my sinful ways.
YOU REIGN
Because You see the best in me no matter what mistakes I make.
YOU REIGN
Because Your loyalty and peace are constant, unchanging.
YOU REIGN
Because You are as strong as an Ox, yet as gentle as a butterfly kiss.
YOU REIGN
Because You tell me no when I need to hear it, and yes just in the nick of time.
YOU REIGN
Because Your Holy, your DNA bleeds out love in a world that is tarnished.
YOU REIGN
Because Your no respecter of persons, a glorious predestined life is available to all who believe.
YOU REIGN
Because You use the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.
YOU REIGN
Because Your ways are marvelous, what is impossible to man is possible for You.
YOU REIGN
Because You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
YOU REIGN
Because of Your wisdom and a great inheritance for Your children.
YOU REIGN
Because I can count on You to hear all my prayers.
YOU REIGN
There is no other like You. You can never love me more than you do now.
FOREVER LORD.
YOU REIGN

I wrote that poem about a year ago. I was listening to music on YouTube yesterday and this song started to play. I don’t remember ever hearing this song, but it is absolutely beautiful and I hope it blesses you and gives you great peace during this time.

I DO NOT OWN ANY RIGHTS TO THIS SONG OR THE YOUTUBE CHANNEL.
This is Chris McClarney singing live.

18 And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.[a]

James 3:18 (NLT), Biblegateway.com

Now that you are full of peace, please go out into the world and ignite more peace. This will bring unity and hope to so many people.
Love and respect for one another will bring healing as we have never seen before, but it begins with each and every one of us.
Thank you for reading. Bless you and your families.
